Our Story

Our Story

Satika was born from the lifelong love of sarees cherished by our founder, Radha Desai. Her journey began at sixteen, when she draped her very first saree. From that moment, sarees became her companions through every season of life, as a housewife, a teacher, a mother, a grandmother, and a woman rooted in her community. Each saree told her a new story; each drape carried a new meaning.

To Radha, sarees are not mere garments but living heirlooms woven with memory, tradition, and emotion, passed gently from one generation to the next. Over five decades, she has seen the saree evolve across regions and cultures of India, yet remain timeless in its essence. With Satika, she wishes to keep this heritage alive so that every woman can rediscover the saree not just as attire, but as a thread that binds us to our past, enriches our present, and carries our stories into the future.

The Problem We’re Solving

India is home to countless heritage weaves, but access to authentic sarees remains a challenge. Buyers often face middlemen, delays in delivery, limited transparency, and little opportunity for personalization. At the same time, weavers who preserve centuries-old artistry struggle to reach the right audience and receive fair value for their craft.

Our Solution

At Satika, we bring the rich tapestry of India’s heritage weaves under one roof. By connecting artisans directly with consumers, we ensure authenticity, fairness, and faster delivery. Beyond this, we make the experience personal offering customized weaving, where you can choose your own colors, patterns, and styles. Every saree becomes more than just fabric it becomes a personal story, woven with heritage, emotion, and timeless artistry.
